Philip’s relief from suffering was temporary. We were so happy to see him feeling better yesterday, that we didn’t think about the fact that it would be a temporary fix. The symptoms continue, they give him medication and it helps for a time. He is then back to the same suffering and we have to wait for another round of pain and nausea medication to take affect again. His spirits are good, his patience seems endless, but sometimes the pain is just tiresome.
Philip’s reaction to pulmonary hypertension medication means that the necessary increases will have to be spread further apart. It will take longer for him to get ready for transplant then we had hoped. The good news is that his liver and kidneys are stable.
Shelly and I want to thank all of the people who are concerned about us on Thanksgiving. Tomorrow, we will be thinking about next year and praying that all of these medication issues are behind us, and Philip will have a new liver, and will be starting to lead the life he so deserves.
