Yesterday’s disappointment has become today’s challenge. Philip has been preparing himself for the next set of obstacles and is optimistically and ready to face them. We found out that the IV will be placed in the main vein. I don’t know why, but it sounds less serious then putting it directly into the heart. That is probably just my perception, but right now, I’ll take it. It seems that the next step is to get approval from the insurance company. Tomorrow will be the day to take that on. As it happens I saw their there office just a few miles up the road, so if need be, I will just run over and speak with them face to face.
The Chabad Rabbi from UNC was kind enough to come and see us this afternoon. He has made himself available for anything that we might need. He asked Philip what the first thing Philip wants to do after the liver transplant. I loved the positive enthusiastic way he spoke with Philip. Philip wants to thank G-d and then see his nephews.
Philip, Randi& Shelley:
You stay in our prayers. We thank G-d and all of you for the the inspiring courage you teach us. G-d bless.
Hope the procedure is easy for Phil, and that it will fix the problem so he can get on that list!
